Smoked corrugated pasta in tomato sauce

The pasta is boiled in boiling salted water, then strained, rinsed with cold water and poured into a strainer to drain well.

Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the tomato sauce. Peel a squash, grate it and slice it. Peel the garlic, wash and slice. Wash the tomatoes and cut into cubes. The smoked kaizer is sliced.

In a frying pan with sunflower oil, lightly fry the smoked slices and when they penetrate and brown lightly, add the sliced ​​green onions and sliced ​​garlic.

After softening them, add: diced tomatoes, tomato juice and a glass of water.

Leave the pan with the ingredients on the fire until it softens well, after which, when the liquid drops a little, season with: salt, caster sugar, thyme, oregano and basil. Leave the pan for another 1-2 minutes on low heat, so that the ingredients penetrate the taste of the spices and then turn off the heat from the stove.

Put the well drained pasta in a plate and add the hot tomato sauce with the smoked meat. Stir gently and then the dish can be served, with grated cheese on top, if desired ...
